Huge and detailed 121-megapixel photos were taken by a Russian Elektro-L weather satellite from a distance of 22,269 miles (35,999 km). NASA's space photos are usually made out of numerous of stitched together shots, these amazing Russian satellite photos on the other hand, are single crazy detailed images.

These strange colors are a result of the way Elektro-L weather satellite is taking them, so the vegetation such as forests - orange looking colors - can be easily distinguish form the rest of Earth's elements.
