Website design part 8

In this web design lesson for beginners we will prepare a few images we will later publish to our website.

Open GIMP application.

Click File and select Open.

Now select the photo you want to add to your website.

Click Open.

Click Image and select Scale Image.

Now define Width 500.

Click Scale.

Click Select and select Rounded Rectangle...

In new window set Radius to 10 and click OK.

Now click Select above and select Invert.

We have created document which we will also crop later.

You can press D to set black/white picture.

Now in Toolbox click Foreground & background colours.

In HTML notation field enter 5f8cbb and click OK.

Now click Edit and select Fill with FG Colour, to fill the document with previously selected color.

Click File and select Save as...

Save the document in your website folder.

Click Save.

 
 
9.
 

In new window set Quality to 85.

Click Save.

 
 
10.
 

Now repeate the procedure also for other images you want to add to your website.
