How to safely remove USB drive in Windows 8

If you are using removable disk or USB key then you should look at this lesson. I will show you how you can safely remove your device from computer without the fear of losing data.

Connect your portable USB device into your computer.

You will notice that you computer detected new device.

In my case this is F: drive.

Click Show hidden icons.

Right-click on Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media.

 
 
5.
 

Select drive you want to eject.

In my case this is USB drive.

 
 
6.
 

When you get an alert that is Safe to Remove Hardware...

...you can remove your device.
