How to give a black eye using Photoshop

Want to give some one a black eye? I suggest you using a Photoshop, way less dangerous than trying the real deal.

1.

Open a picture of a person you want to give them a black eye.

I chose to give an black eye to Will Smith for no perticular reason.

2.

In the menu click Filter and choose Liquify...

In the Liquify window Choose the Forward Warp Tool (see picture).

Also recommended:

3.

Choose similar settings as I did.

Brush Size depends on size of the image you are using.

4.

Now click the area above the eye similar to mine, hold the mouse button ...

5.

... and simply drag it down a bit to create a swollen eye effect.

6.

... and again a bit on the left.

Play with the eye, try different approaches, if you want to start all over, simply click the Reconstruct button.

Click OK after you are satisfied with the result.

7.

Now click the foreground color button ...

8.

... and set a dark blue/violet color similar to mine.

You can simply enter the 1c084f code into the # field if you want to set exactly the same color as I did. Tone of the color you should choose depends on the color of the skin.

Click OK.

9.

Choose the Brush Tool.

10.

Right-click anywhere on the picture and set an appropriate brush size.

We'll be painting under the eye.

Set Hardness to 0%.

11.

Create a new layer.

Also recommended:

12.

In the toolbar above, set the brush Opacity to about 70%.

13.

Now paint under the eye and a bit above and at sides similar way as I did.

14.

Set the new layers Blending Mode to Linear Light and Opacity to about 90%.

You might want to try other blending modes as well, it all depends on the color and tone of the skin around the eye.

15.

Now set the bloody red kind of color.

16.

Choose the Paint Brush again if it's not already chosen.

Set a brush size to 1 px.

17.

Set the Brush Opacity to about 40%.

18.

Create a new layer.

Zoom in on the eye and paint eye blood vessels the similar way as I did.

19.

Choose a bigger brush size and paint a bit of the blood in the corner of the eye (see picture).

20.

That's it, done deal. You just gave a black eye to a person of your choice without risking a real black eye of your own.
