I was just wondering, can somebody please explain this to me, with as few words as possible, why is mathematically not possible to divide by zero, or why do we say that the results is infinite?
Thanks

Actually the result of division by zero is undefined, not infinite.
The explanation is rather simple.
For example if you have an expression:
5 / 0 = ?
You can transform this expression into:
? * 0 = 5
But any number multiplied by 0 is 0 and so there is no number that solves the equation. That is why the result is undefined.
