I just talked about the deepest hole or drill in the world with my friend and I wonder if anyone of you knows the deepth?

The deepest hole drilled by man is in Russia and it's called Kola Superdeep Borehole. They started drilling in 1970 and stopped in 1992. The goal of 15.000 meters (49.212 feet) was never reached, but they did manage to drill a hole 12.261 meters deep (40.226 feet) and broke the previous record of 9.583 meters (31.440 feet) held by Bertha Rogers hole in Washita County, Oklahoma.
