If you are reading this, there is a great chance you are addicted to seeking for new information. Is it really hard for you to ignore that beep sound of a new email, Facebook notification or a text message, are you experiencing an urge to share the latest photo to Instagram or send a new tweet? If you do, than you probably are an info addict.

There is a general perception and you might have heard it on many occasions as well, that dopamine controls the section of the brain responsible for pleasure and as such makes you feel happy, full of life and motivated. But this is only a myth, the psychoactive chemical that makes us feel pleasure is called opioid and the latest research data revealed that dopamine makes you seek for information, furthermore it makes you want to search for new things and makes you feel aroused while doing so. How many times you googled for one thing and after some time you found yourself searching for completely different stuff you started with. This is necessarily not a bad thing as dopamine makes us curious and urge for the new ideas and achievements and is basically responsible for all the great innovations that are making our lives better.

So what would you say, are you addicted to seeking and and anticipating the new information? Hello, my name is Mat and I'm an information addict.

P.S.: I wonder how many of you will start Googling if there is any truth in this writing as not one link that would support all this has been posted.
