Hi.
I am self learning about languages all over the world and I wonder which Slavic language is the oldest? Is it true that it comes from Russian territory or from somewhere else?
Also which is the oldest writing in Slavic languages in the world and from what year it came from?

All Slavic languages descend from Proto-Slavic, their immediate parent language, ultimately deriving from Proto-Indo-European, the ancestor language of all Indo-European languages.
It was spoken before the seventh century AD. As with most other proto-languages, no attested writings have been found; the language has been reconstructed by applying the comparative method to all the attested Slavic languages as well as other Indo-European languages.
