This 360 panorama photograph of Mars' terrain, was taken by NASA's Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity with it's panoramic camera - Pancam.



Pancam took 817 images that were combined into a 23096 x 7981 pixel full circle scene. A so called Greeley Panorama was taken in the northern sky during southern hemisphere winter. On the picture bellow you can see a crop of the original sized image and as you can tell it's pretty darn detailed, showing the tracks of the Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity vehicle.



And a few more cropped pictures of the Mars' terrain. In the last one you can see a part of the Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity that took this photo using its Pancam.
