iPhone 5: All rumors in one place |
|

I'm starting this topic, where we can add all the latest rumors and gossips about the most anticipated smartphone of the year, Apple's iPhone 5.
One of the latest iPhone 5 rumors according to http://gsmarena.com is, the iPhone 5 will rock a 4.1 inch display with 1136 x 640 resolution.
And here a comparison sketch with iPhone 4S:
"Reliable" source, who is suppose to be close with Apple suppliers claims, iPhone 5 is going to be 90.3 mm long, 50.9 mm wide and appearantely only 7.9 mm thick which would be quite an achievement comparing to 9.3 mm of iPhone 4S.
And a table with expected iPhone 5 rear camera data.

New iPhone component. Maybe for iPhone 5. But it is neither a battery door nor a middle pate. It is a integrated part! Great changes in the design.

According to Reuters, the new iPhone 5 will have smaller 19-pin connector for charging and docking the device. The main reason is apparently to make the room for the earphones connector.
On the picture bellow that leaked in may, where we can alegedly see the aluminium casings for the new iPhone, there is indeed a smaller docking hole at the bottom, significantly smaller than 30-pin connector hole iPhones of today are rocking and the small hole next to it could easily be an earphones connector hole of the new iPhone 5.

French site http://app4phone.fr says they learned from reliable sources (don't they all ) that Apple could release the new iPhone 5 a bit earlier than usual, on September 21.

A Chinese language site iLab.cc put together an iPhone 5 using the individual parts that recently became available. It features a small docking hole and earphones hole next to it. If this is really how the new iPhone 5 will look like, well it's for you to decide.

I am sure if Apple will not show something spectacular (they will say it is but the community is something else ) their rise is over. I kind of hope of integrated pico projector.

Possible nano-SIM and new Home button has shown up. The nano-SIM design promises 40% smaller SIM cards, which will save room in the already crammed internals of modern smartphones.
The home button of the iPhone 5 somehow also made its way into the spy photoshoot. Its design is unchanged, but it seems that this component has shrunk too - presumably to make more room for the larger screen of the new iPhone.

We may well have seen the next iPhone's back shell, front panel, SIM tray and even its cabling. Why not round it out with what might be the motherboard? Smaller SIM slot (what you see in the middle) is one of the bigger giveaways. The real treat may be the extra wireless antenna connections. They aren't any surefire signs of 4G, but the antenna links suggest Apple isn't content with what the iPhone 4S has to offer ...

Japanese Apple blog Macotakara have posted a video purportedly showing off the housing of the next generation iPhone. The same housing that has been appearing in numerous pictures of late. Macotakara does have a fairly good record when it comes to spilling the beans on new Apple products and the housing shown is remarkably consistent with what has been seen before. Given that the new iPhone will reportedly be announced come 12th September it's no surprise that the rumour mill is really ramping up now either.

New pin port has been leaked and it looks like microUSB port. As we know, Apple signed with other manufactures a deal, that microUSB must be a standard charger connector and maybe they will use it also for other ways, like mass storage?
