Interesting question. Why does a flag from European union have only 12 stars if the union is now build with 27 countries? Does the blue color mean anything?

Nope Dude, many people believe this is the reason for 12 stars. And what's more, there were 15 original founding countries of European Union. The real reason why they decided to go for 12 stars is, number 12 represents perfection, completeness and unity.
