The rumor is Samsung will tomorrow announce a new Galaxy Tab 11.6 featuring 2560 x 1600 pixels screen resolution and the same pixel density (260 dpi) as 2 days ago announced new iPad.

CPU-wise is expected to be a 2GHz dual-core Exynos 5250 chip and design and size as thin as existing Samsung Tab 10.1. New Tab will most probably be powered by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.



We are excited to see if it will make the new iPad make a run for the money, for the existing Samsung Tab performance and user experience left us pretty much unimpressed.

UPDATE: Samsung have now fleshed out the details of their "special announcement", and it's not quite as special as we hoped: the unveiling of Angry Birds Space. Still, we'll watch and see if this tablet makes an appearance at any stage.
