Searching for quality build laptop computer |

Hi.
Do you have any ideas which company makes quality computers today? I bought ThinkPad but it's quality has lowered since the Lenovo bought IBM part.
Also Apple didint convience me at all. What do you think? I want to buy a laptop computer which would be lasting at least 4 years. |

Hm, I agree with the lower built quality since Lenovo took over, but in my opinion they are still the industry leaders when you want a well built, working horse laptop.
I would say try them a few in tech stores, see how they feel and I almost guarantee you, you will feel the difference.
Apples are also very well built, just a tad more pricey and the OS X might be something to get used to if you are coming from a Windows world.
But I like the new OS X lion on our home iMac

I also think that Lenovo notebooks are a little bit overrated.
At the moment I prefer Asus brand. It is cheaper than some other brands and also the quality is very good. |

I was working on a new HP EliteBook the other day and I was pleasantly surprised.
Great built quality and design, the whole thing is now made of brushed aluminium, the multi-touch-pad actually works (which I cannot say for Lenovo laptops) and it gives you that overall firm quality feel.
