One of my all time favorite cartoons Monster Inc. just got a prequel called Monster University and the awesome Pixar guys showed us how the cartoon is made. Starting with a simple sketch, adding colors, followed by creating a 3D wire frame, then adding textures, renders and finally the lighting for the amazing experience we get when watching cinematic masterpieces by Pixar.
