Today Facebook finally unwrapped the Facebook Home mystery. It's basically replacement for your home screen, with a bunch of apps added. What it does besides launching apps, it actually replaces your traditional Android home screen with notifications related to your Facebook community.

Notifications in a form of cards with corresponding text are suppose to be prioritized according to how important they are to you. The can be easily removed by a swipe gesture.

You can easily swipe through the feeds and if you find something thrilling you can like it by double-tapping the screen.

One of the cooler features is the Facebook Chat Heads. If one of you friends is trying to reach you over the chat a notification appears even if you are in the middle of Instagraming or using any other app. If you want to chat you simply tap the head that appears as a notification and than carry on the conversation in the Chat Heads app.

At launch (12th April for the US) the Facebook Home will be available from the Play Store only for the phones like Galaxy S III, S 4, the HTC One, One X+ and the Note II. Later on other Android devices will be added, including Android tablets. Source

Hard to say, I personally don't want Facebook overload on my phone, but people who practically live there will probably embrace the new feature with arms wide open.
