Can anyone tell me what is the greatest achievement in drilling holes?

I know that core is about 6.000 kilometeres deep and I just wonder how far did we drilled?

The deepest hole in the Earth, made by man, is located in Kola Peninsula, northwestern Russia. The depth was 12,262 meters (around 7.5 miles). The drill was stopped in 1994 and was drilled for 24 years.

The goal was to drill to the Moho, the boundary between the crust and the mantle. But sadly they never succeeded.
