Hello people.

I wonder which countries are listed as countries with many caves for tourism and exploring? I really love caves and in my area, there are not so many. I travel the world often so I will be glad to read some good advices.

Thank you.

I have found a Wikipedia page with list of all countries at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Ca....

There is also a great page about caves http://www-sop.inria.fr/agos/sis/DB/coun....

Here is some stats from that page:

Number of caves = 2424
Caves deeper than 300m = 1075
Caves longer than 3kms = 1628
Cumulated depth = 648 932 m
Cumulated length = 17 930 192 m
Number per country ( 89 countries)

Here is the top 10 deepest caves in the world: http://goo.gl/QfhRX

When we travelled accross the Europe, we have visited two really awesome caves in a small country Slovenia (between Austria and Croatia). The first one is Postojnska jama which I rhink is the deepest or biggest one in whole Europe and the second was the Skocjan Caves, where they have a bride like in Lords of the Rings (Bridge of Khazad-dûm) and it's positioned really hig.

Here are the links:

While discussing countries with lots of caves, it's interesting to consider how to travel to these destinations. One great option is to use Trainline https://trainline.pissedconsumer.com/rev.... , which offers an easy and affordable way to book train travel in many different countries. With Trainline, you can quickly compare prices and schedules, and even book tickets in advance. So, whether you're exploring caves or other natural wonders, Trainline can help you get there efficiently and comfortably.
