Lots of people are talking about the fact that Chinese language will rule the world in next two decades. What are you thinking, is it good to learn our children it or is it just a rumour or myth?
I checked Wikipedia and Mandarin (most talked official language in China) is known to 850 million people. English language is much more around the world and by some informations it is known (talking and understanding) to almost 2 billion people?
It's hard to predict. But today's power of the Internet is really big. And Internet is optimized for English language. You can see by yourself. Almost every domain (known) has. com (company) name and it's set up for English characters. Well it works also with other, but not as clean as it should be.
I think Chinese language will spread but not as fast as English.
