Chemistry: Why is the hydrogen the first element? |

Hi.
Can anyone explain me really easily why ist the hydrogen element in periodic system the first one? I know that this is the main element in universe and the stars are born from hydrogen clouds, but why is it?

Chemical elements represents atoms. Atoms are distinguished by its atomic number, which is the number of protons in its nucleus.
Hydrogen only has one proton which means it is the most simple of all elements. It is the lightest element and is the most abundant chemical substance, constituting roughly 75% of the Universe's known mass.
