1 Billion active users on Facebook per month |

This just in, Facebook has official hit and surpassed the 1 Billion monthly active users limit. This is quite amazing piece of information, when you consider this means 1/7 of the world population uses Facebook more or less regularly on a monthly basis.
The 28-year-old Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg shared some thoughts on this special occasion:
"This morning, there are more than one billion people using Facebook actively each month.
If you’re reading this: thank you for giving me and my little team the honor of serving you.
Helping a billion people connect is amazing, humbling and by far the thing I am most proud of in my life.
I am committed to working every day to make Facebook better for you, and hopefully together one day we will be able to connect the rest of the world too."

I would say that these numbers are a little exaggerated, but even if this is the case, what Facebook has achieved is impressive.
