Premiere of the new Star Wars sequel, currently titled Star Wars: Episode 7, is set for the year 2015 with more episodes coming after that one continuing the most famous and successful space saga till the date. The fans allover the world are probably going crazy and jumping up and down from the sheer joy, but one thing needs to be said, the new Star Wars episode will not feature George Lucas as a producer, some will actually embrace this piece of important information with both hands and probably legs as well.
Disney bought Lucasfilm - film production company founded by George Lucas - for a proud amount of 4 billion dollars and with this, Disney now also owns the rights to Indiana Jones franchise and special effects making companies Industrial Light & Magic and Skywalker Sound.
The new executive producer of all new Star Wars movies will be Disney's Kathleen Kennedy, while George Lucas is getting assigned as a creative consultant. As already said, this isn't necessarily a bad news, as Kathleen Kennedy already produced some of the great and memorable movies like Back to the Future, War of the Worlds, Signs, Artificial Intelligence, Sixth Sense, Schindler's List, Jurassic Park and quite a few more. I suggest we wait and see, jumping to early conclusions is never too constructive or realistic for that matter.
