Disable Web search suggestions in Safari

If the search suggestions appearing under the url/search window of your Safari browser are bothering you,  this is how you disable them.

These are the search suggestions provided by search engines I am talking about. To disable them, do the following ...

Open the Safari Browser, click Safari in the menu and choose Preferences.

In the Preferences window click Privacy ...

... and enable the Prevent search engine from providing suggestions option.

From now on, you shouldn't get any search suggestions as you type your search terms.
