My first web page in Dreamweaver
A really basic lessons for the beginners who want to learn how to start working with Adobe Dreamweaver.

1.

|
Run Adobe Dreamweaver.
|
|
|

|
|
In the menu click Site and then choose New Site.
|
|
|

|
|
Enter your site name and your site local folder (folder on your computer).
|
|
|

|
Click Advanced Settings and choose Local Info.
|
|
|

|
|
|
Enter the Web URL of your site and click Save.
You just created a local site on your computer.

|
You can see your site under the thumbnail FILES. In case you don't see it, press F8.
|
|

|
Right click your site and choose New File.
|
|
|

|
|
Click the file and rename it to index.html (see picture).
|
|
|

|
|
|
Now double click the index.html to start editing your first page.
Between the tags <body> and </body> enter some random text (see picture).
|
|
|

|
|
|
All you need to do now is to save your first page.
In the menu click File and then Save (Ctrl + S for keyboard shortcut).
|
|
|

|
|
|
To test how you page will look like in the web browser press F12.
Your first web site is finished!
