Windows 8 installation from DVD
Windows 8 introduces significant changes to the operating system's graphical user interface and platform and today we will learn how to install it on your computer.

|
Insert installation DVD and reboot your computer so that installation will start.
In first dialog window select language to install, currency format and keyboard input method.
|

To continue, press button Next.
|
|

Now we can start with installation.
Press button Install now.
|
|
| |

|
You will be asked to enter the product key which you should received when you bought the Windows 8.
|

Select I accept the license terms and click Next.
|

|
You will be presented with an option to upgrade current version of Windows.
To avoid possible problems I would recommend that you choose Custom installation so that you will have a clean installation.

Select the hard disk drive to which you want to install Windows.
Click Next and copying of files will now start.
This can take a while ...

|
After the installation is finished and on first run you will be presented with options for personalization of Windows installation.
First you can choose the background color and fonts.

You should also give you computer a name.
|
|
| |

Click Next to continue.
|

You will be presented with a window for customizing additional settings.
|
|

If you are advanced user you can click Customize.
Otherwise I recommend that you click Use express settings.

Enter your email address.
|
|
| |

|
If you already have a Microsoft account you can enter your login information.
|
|
| |

|
|
Fill the form with your phone number which serves as an additional security information.
|
|
| |

|
|
Setup will now finalize the installation.
During this time you will some tips on how to use Windows 8.

Wait a few more minutes ...
|

|
Your Windows installation is now finished.
You will now be presented with a new Home screen which looks quite different than the old versions of Windows.

To help you started, move mouse to the top right window to open additional shortcuts.
Among installed applications you will also be able to find application Desktop and clicking on it will show standard Desktop view.
