How to update your iPhone to iOS6
If you still haven't updated your iPhone to iOS 6 because you are not quite sure how to do that, let me guide you through.

If there is an iOS 6 update available for your iPhone you should see it.
Tap Download and Install.
Be sure you are connected to the Internet, preferably via WLAN to avoid data transfer costs.

Before you proceed connect your iPhone to a power source so it will charge during the procedure. Make sure you have enough battery. Don't go through the updating procedure if your iPhone is almost empty.
Tap OK.

|
iOS 6 update process should start, you will have to wait for a few minutes now.
It depends on how fast or slow your internet connection is. It can last from a few minutes to an hour or more.
And don't worry if your iPhone's lock screen activates during the update.

When the update is downloaded to your phone you will get a message like this, just tap Install.
|

Your iPhone should now go into the iOS update mode.
Wait a few minutes.
|

|
When done, your iPhone should now be updated to the brand new iOS6.
Just swipe the Setup slider to the right ...

... and press Continue.
|

You can Enable Location Services if you wish.
iOS 6 now comes with the new Apple Maps instead of the Google Maps.

|
You can Sign In to Apple iCloud - additional services and storage space on the Web.
I chose to Skip This Step as you can set the iCloud service anytime later on.

Tap Skip if you also chose to skip this step ...
|
|

All done, Start Using iPhone.
