Turn a day shot into a night photo using Photoshop
Adobe Photoshop CS6 comes with many great features, let me show you how to turn a daylight photo into a photo that looks like it's been taken at evening, sundown or at night with only a click.

1.

|
|
Open a photo taken at day light.
|
|
|
2.
|
|
|
Click the Create a new Color Lookup adjustment layer button.
If you don't see the Color Lookup window, click Windows in the menu and choose Adjustments.
|

|
|
A new adjustment layer has been created.
|
|
|

|
|
In the new window click Load 3D LUT ...
|
|
|

|
|
|
... and choose Crisp_Warm.look.
|
|
|

|
|
|
Colors on the photo are now much warmer looking.
|
|
|

|
Now choose Crisp_Winder.look ...
|
|
|

|
... and photo now feels colder.
|

|

Now choose NightFromDay.CUBE ...
|
|
|

... and your day shot turned into a night photo.

To achieve that evening photo look, do the following:
Reduce the Opacity of the adjustment layer ...
|

... and set the blending mode to Overlay.
|
|
|

The photo looks now like it has been taken at the end of the at a sundown.
