First web page in Dreamweaver

In this tutorial, you can learn how to organize and create your first web page. We will create folder on our computer and save simple .html file to it.

Open Dreamweaver.

In top menu click on Site and select New site...

In first field type name of your page and in second paste the URL of your web page.

In next step select No, I do not want to use a server technology. and click Next.

In third step select Edit local copies on my machine, then upload to server when ready.

Below select the folder, where do you want to storage your page files.

Click Next.

On step named Sharing Files just select None and click on button Next.

At last page of setup you can see informations and settings.

Click button Done.

On Dreamweaver welcome screen select HTML (below of Create New).

Add your page a title (in my case First webpage) and add some text to body.

Now click on File and select Save.

Add name to your page. I name it my_first_webpage.

Do not use spaces between words!

I preview my page in Mozilla Firefox.
