How to download navigation maps on Nokia N9
I will show you how to download new maps for Nokia N9 Drive navigation app which you can then use without the Internet connection.

1.

|
|
First connect to a Wi-Fi network.
You can download Nokia maps only when connected to a Wi-Fi network.
|
|
|
2.

|
|
Swipe to apps and tap Maps.
|
|
|

|
In the Maps tap the more options button (see picture) ...
|
|
|

|
|
... and choose Manage maps.
|
|
|

|
|
|
A screen with installed maps shows up.
|
|
|

|
|
Tap the more options button ...
|
|
|

|
|
... and choose Add maps.
If you want you can remove the installed maps by tapping Delete all maps.

|

|
All the world's continents show up ...
Choose one ...
|

... and then choose the country you want to download the maps for.
|
|
|

|
|
|
You can see the size of the map in MB (MegaBytes) just tap Download to start downloading the map.
|

|
|
Download and install of the maps is in progress.
Wait a few minutes for the maps to download then go back to the Maps home window by tapping the back button. Tap search button and see if you can find a spot in the new country you just downloaded.

You don't need to download the maps if you don't want, they work perfectly well in the on-line mode, you just need to be careful not to exceed your data limit, especially when in other country as it can be very expensive.
