According to a source that is suppose to be very knowledgeable what goes the Microsoft and its pricing politics, Windows 8 pro will be available for a price of $69.99 during the promotional period. The action price will expire on January 13, 2013 when the price will rise to $199 for Windows 8 Pro.

Microsoft already announced the $40 Windows 8 price but this is the price for Windows 8 downloadable upgrade (no DVD) and existing Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7 owners. The $70 and then $199 price goes for the retail price in stores meant for the users without previously owning a copy of Windows. Windows 8 copies will hit the stores on October 26.

Pirates, maybe its time to start looking for a new job

Just kiddin, I really like the new politics from MS. They are surprisingly adding some new great stuff. Only Office should get same MAJOR upgrade because GDocs are much much better.

Yea it's a good price and totally agree about Microsoft Office, it should get a total revamp, it's complicated and on a few occasions it really doesn't make any sense. It's all about the simplicity and usability, Office got none.
