Making your Excel sheets look nicer
In Microsoft Excel you canĀ use formating tools like colors, text alignment, font styles and many more to make your sheets look nicer and more transparent.

1.
Open an existing excel file or make a new one.
Mark your description column.
2.
Click the Fill Color button and choose the color you like.
Don't use colors that are too strong or bright you can very quickly make things worse to look at.
3.
Click the Center text button to align the text in description cells.
4.
Click the Bold button to make text bolder.
5.
Now select the content of your sheet (without the description cells).
6.
Click the Fill Color button again and select another color.
Preferably lighter then the color you chose for the description cells.
7.
I've decided to align the text my first column as well.
I've selected the content of my first column (without the description) ...
8.
... and clicked the Center Text button.
9.
You can also change the color of the text.
Select the cells where you want to change the text color, click the Font Color button and choose the color you like.
Again keep in mind the readability is more important then the pretty colors, so choose it wisely.
