1.
You have a ring tone you don't need anymore and you want to get rid of it.
Unfortunately, Nokia N9 does not support instant removal of ringtones, we will need to use a file manager to delete them.
2.
Tap Filebox icon.
Filebox is a great little app for your N9, I recommend you to install it on your phone. You can find it here or search for it in Nokia App Store directly on your phone.
3.
We need to activate visibility of system files.
Tap the far right settings icon (see picture).
4.
In the settings screen enable Show root filesystem in Show hidden files.
Tap icon the far left icon at the bottom to go one step back.
5.
Tap the arrow up icon (see picture).
6.
Keep tapping it until you see home folder and open it.
7.
Tap to open user folder.
8.
And the .ring-tones folder.
9.
In the .ring-tones folder you will see all the ringtones you downloaded using the Nokia App Store.
Tap and hold the ringtone file you want to remove from you N) phone ...
10.
... and choose Delete.
11.
Tap Yes if you are really sure you want to delete the ringtone.
12.
Close the Filebox and if you now go back to your ringtones, there shouldn't be the ringtone you just deleted anymore.
