How to use Cage Transform tool in Gimp
Cage Transform tool is really a great tool you can have tons of fun with, let me show you how to use it.

|
Open a picture of a random object you want to have a bit of fun with.
Click here if you want to download picture of a Hummer used in this tutorial.

|
Click Cage Transform in toolbox.
|
|
|

|
|
Choose Create or adjust the cage option.
It's probably already chosen.
|
|
|

|
|
Now create a selection similar to mine.
Just click around your object until you come around and click the point you started with to close your selection.
|

|
|
Choose Deform the cage to deform the image option.
|
|
|

|
|
|
And start deforming your object.
Click and drag on points to deform your object.
|
|
|

|
Just go nuts with it, it's fun I tell you. :)

|
In case you want to add a new transformation point to your selection, choose Create or adjust the cage.
Your object went back to it's original state.
|
|
|

And just click your selection where you want a new transformation point.
|
|
|

Choose Deform the cage to deform the image option again.
Object goes back in its transformed state again.
|
|
|

|
|
And do your thing until you're satisfied with your object's transformation and when done just press Enter key to confirm it.
|
|
|

|
|
All you need to do now, is getting rid of some stuff around your newly transformed object.
Choose Eraser Tool.
|
|
|

|
|
|
And erase the stuff that was left of your original object.
|
|
|
