How to add black frame around picture

Some pictures can look even nicer with a black frame around them. Black frames work best on white backgrounds.

1.

Open a picture in Photoshop.

I opened a Picture of a lazy pooch I took on a Trip to Thailand.

2.

Click Image and then Canvas Size (Alt+Ctrl+C for a keyboard shortcut)

3.

Now check the Relative box, for the Width and Height choose pixels and enter the size of your frame.

In my case I find 20 x 20 more the enough for my picture size is 626 x 418 pixels.

4.

As a Canvas extension color chose Black and click OK.

5.

That's all your picture should now have a black frame.
