1.

Open Windows Explorer.

Right click Windows Start button and choose Open Windows Explorer or press Windows key + E.

2.

Click the entry field and enter ftp:// and ftp server name you want to connect to.

For example, if a ftp server name is ftp.mysite.com the enter ftp://ftp.mysite.com.

Press Enter.

3.

Enter User name and password for the ftp account and click Log On.

4.

If all the data you entered was correct, then you should be connected to a ftp server.

Mine is empty because I don't have any files in there yet. It's pretty much like any other folder you have on your computer, you can copy files to and from it, delete files and similar.

5.

Let's try and copy a file in your ftp folder.

Leave the ftp server you're connected to explorer window open and open a new one.

Windows Key + E

Right click a file you want to upload to a ftp server and choose Copy.

6.

Now go back to the ftp explorer window, right click it and choose Paste.

7.

File is now beeing uploaded to a ftp server.

8.

And there it is, transfered successfully onto the ftp server.
