How to set Nokia N9 as WiFi Hotspot
If there's no Wireless hotspots near by, you can set one on your Nokia N9 and use it to surf the web with your notebook or any other wireless device.

Swipe to Apps screen and tap Wi-Fi Hotspot.
|
|
|
2.

|
|
A wizard that will help you set a Wi-Fi Hotspot on Nokia N9 should have opened.
|

|

|
|
Tap Accept to agree (if you agree) with Privacy Policy.
|
|
|
4.

|
|
You should now see a screen with your Wireless network info.
Tap Start.
In case you want to set a WiFi Network name (SSID), password and advanced security settings, you can find them on the screen bellow. For more information, please use our Forum.

WiFi network on Nokia N9 is getting started.
|
|
|

|
Wi-Fi network should now be active.
Down arrow represents data being uploaded and up arrow represents all the uploaded data going through your Nokia N9 WiFi hotspot.

Now you should be able to find and connect to wireless network you just created, using a laptop, tablet, smartphone or any other wireless device.
|
|
|
8.
|
|
|
When you're done using WiFi and sharing an internet connection of your Nokia N9, just tap Stop.
|
|
|

You will then notice connection summary data.
Be careful when sharing your internet connection using your smartphone, as mobile internet can be really expensive. It really depends on the mobile data package you are using.

I've checked and yes you can. Open the lesson link and go on step 4. Before you press the Start button, you can set up network name, password and encryption for your mobile phone. |
