How to crop images with GIMP

If you want to remove other parts of the picture to improve the framing, cropping is the way to do it.

Open a picture using free open source image editing software GIMP.


 
 
2.
 

Choose the Crop Tool.

 
 
3.
 

Select part of the picture you want to crop.

 
 
4.
 

You can fine tune the selection by dragging selection edges (see pictures).

 
 
5.
 

Press Enter and your crop is done!
