How to create an object reflection using GIMP
You will learn how to add reflections to objects in only a few steps with free GIMP.

1.

|
|
Create a new GIMP document and make it 400 x 640 pixels.
|
|
|
2.
|
|
|
Click here to download Nokia N9 used in this tutorial.
In the menu click File and Open as Layers, choose the picture and click Open.

|
Duplicate the phone layer (see picture).
|
|
|

|
|
In the menu click Layer, Transform and chose Rotate 180°.
|
|
|

|
|
Now hold and move the copy layer down like I did (see picture).
|
|
|

|
|
|
Right click the copy layer and choose Add Layer Mask...
|
|
|
8.
|
|
|
Choose White (full opacity) and click Add.
|
|
|
9.
|
|
|
Choose the Blend Tool.
|
|
|
10.
|
|
|
And draw a line from up to bottom of the document (see picture).
|
|
|

|
|
|
And you are done!
