Restoring your Apple computer with Time Machine

If you set your Mac to create backups then you should be able to restore the backed up data when needed.

Click the Time Machine icon in the menu bar and choose Enter Time Machine (see picture)...

Or you can ...

... click the Spotlight search button, enter time machine and click Time Machine application (see picture).

The Time Machine window opens.

Now on the right bottom side choose the date and time you want to restore your data from.

I'm going to restore some data I need from January 23th in 2011 at 8:57 pm.

Browse for the folders or files (documents, pictures, movies,....) right click it and choose Restore "" to...

I'm going to restore the whole Pictures folder.

You can restore individual or multiple files as well.

Now choose the current folder where you want to restore the data to and click Choose.


And that should be it, happy restoring! :)
