How to create an object reflection in Photoshop
You have probably seen numerous of object reflections on web pages and magazines. Let me show you how to do that.

1.

|
|
Create a new Photoshop document with a size of 600 x 800 pixels if you're going to use the the same iPad 2 picture as I.
Click here to download the iPad 2 picture.

|
In the menu click File and choose Place...
Choose the picture and click Place.
You can double click the picture as well.
|
|
|

|
|
You just placed the picture into a new layer.
Press Enter.
|
|
|

|
|
Press Ctrl + J to duplicate the layer.
|
|
|
5.
|
|
|
Press Ctrl + T.
Right click the picture and choose Rotate 180°.
|
|
|

|
|
|
Now pull down the new layer like I did and press Enter.
|
|
|

|
|
|
Now we are going to create that gradiental reflection effect with a help of layer mask.
Click Add layer mask button.
|
|
|
8.
|
|
|
Choose the Gradient Tool.
|
|
|
9.
|
|
|
And draw a line from up to bottom like I did.
You can repeat this step as much as you want to.
|
|
|

And here it is, quite simple right?
