Disable beeping sounds on Lenovo ThinkPads
If you find the beeping sounds your Lenovo ThinkPad notebook does on various occasions, like hibernation or power loss annoying, then keep on reading.

What we need to do is to activate the BIOS settings of your laptop.
Restart your Lenovo ThinkPad computer and when it starts booting up again, start pressing F1 key immediately.
When the BIOS settings show up use the Up and Down arrow keys to navigate to Config and press Enter (see picture).

At the next settings screen navigate to Beep and Alarm and press Enter.
|
|
|

Now enable or disable the sounds at will.
Again use the arrow keys to navigate through settings and when on a chosen setting, for example Power Control Beep press F5 or F6 keys to enable or disable the setting.
Press F10 to Save and leave BIOS.

Choose Yes and press Enter to confirm the changes you made in your notebook's BIOS.
If you aren't sure about the effects the various settings might have on your computer, better not to change them, as your computer or computer parts might stop working.
