In this beginner lesson I will show you how to draw a random text in the sky that will seem like it's a part of clouds.

1.
Open a picture of a sky with clouds.
Click here if you want to download the picture used in this lesson.
2.
Create a new layer (see picture).
3.
Choose the Pencil Tool.
4.
Press D to set black foreground color and draw or write something on the sky where there aren't any clouds (see picture).
5.
Create a new layer (see picture).
6.
Choose the Clone Stamp Tool.
7.
Right click the picture, set Site to 25 px and Hardness to 0%.
8.
Set the Clone sample mode to All Layers (see picture).
9.
Now press and hold Alt key then click somewhere on the clouds.
This way you choose the source area for the Clone Stamp Tool.
10.
Release the mouse key and start drawing over the lines you draw before.
11.
Keep drawing until you cover all the lines.
You might want to change the clone source a couple of times by holding Alt and clicking the clouds like you did in step 9.
12.
Click the eye next to original writing layer (Layer 1 in this case) to hide it.
The newest layer (Layer 2) should stay selected.
13.
Again press and hold Alt key and click to select the area where the clouds aren't so intensive (see picture).
14.
Release the Alt key and start clicking around and on to the drawing you made for a more realistic cloud look.
You might want to set a larger clone stamp size and use different source areas to clone from.
