Asahi Kasei is the name of the company that created this elastic electrical cable and they claim it has the same stretching capabilities as human skin.

The new technologies could be applied on robots for it could get away with mechanical and chopping motions the humanoid robots have. It can of course also be used as a "common" electrical data transfer cable, flexible USB cable, it could be applied in clothing, motion capturing applications and many more.
