Transform picture into a painting

We will open picture of a landscape and apply some filters to make it look like a painting.

Open any photograph from nature.

I opened photograph of Nanos.

Press CTRL + J to duplicate photograph.

Then press CTRL + SHIFT + U, to make layer grayscale.

Press CTRL + J to duplicate grayscale photograph.

Then press CTRL + I to invert colors.

Set this layer to Color Dodge.

I should look similar to mine by now.

In top menu click on Filter, Blur and select Gaussian Blur...

In new window set Radius to 2,5 and confirm your entry with click on button OK.

Press CTRL + E to merge layers.

Set merge layer shadding to Luminosity.

In top menu click on Filter, Artistic and select Fresco...

Rewrite informations from left picture and click OK.

 
 
9.
 

Set Layer 1 opacity to 80%.

Fresco filter is sometimes too strong, so we need to soften it.
