Turn off Windows 7 system sounds
If you're like me, not the greatest fan of the sounds Windows 7 makes on various of events , then turn the system sounds off.

1.

Click the Start button and put sound into Search programs and files field.
|
|
|
2.

|
|
Click Sound in the Control Panel search results.
|
|
|
3.
|
|
|
In the Sound settings window, click the Sounds tab.
|
|
|

|
|
Choose No Sounds as the Sound Scheme ...
|
|
|
5.
|
|
|
... and click OK.
Done, no "pesky" sounds when clicking things and now near heart attack experiences on different alert occasions with the volume up. :)
