How to install Visual Basic 2010 Express

In this lesson we're going to download and install Microsoft Visual Basic 2010 Express.

Visual Basic is a great way to get into programing. In now time you'll be able to create some nice web applications using .net framework. But first thing's first, download and install.

Click here to open MS Visual Basic 2010 Express download page and click INSTALL NOW button.

When the installation vb_web.exe file is downloaded click it to start the installation.

Uncheck the Help Improve Setup option and click Next.

You can of course keep the option checked if you want to submit the information about your setup experience.

Choose the I have read and accept the licence terms and click Next.

Uncheck both options and click Next.

You can always add the Silverlight and SQL Server Express later on when needed.

Click Install to proceed with the actual download and installation process.

Downloading and installing can take a while, depends on your Internet connection speed.

And when the installation process is finished just go to Start, All Programs, Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Express and choose Microsoft Visual Basic 2010 Express.

Your Visual Basic 2010 Express should now be started.
