You can set different shortcust using a combination of keys to open programs and applications.

  Author: mat | Version: 7 | 23rd October 2011 |

1.

Click the Start button and All Programs.

2.

Choose a Program you want to make a shortcut for and right click it.

I'm going to create a keyboard shortcut for Google Chrome browser.

3.

In the Properties window click the Shortcut tab.

4.

Click the Shortcut key field and press the keyboard combination you would like to set for this program.

Ctrl + Shift + C is my choice for starting Google Chrome.

Avoid setting up the known short cuts like Ctrl + C (copy) or Ctrl + V (paste).

5.

Click OK to confirm your settings.

6.

Click Continue.

7.

Try out your new keyboard shortcut.

Ctrl + Shift + C combo the Google Chrome starts right up, just like I set it.
