Am I running 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows 7
I am going to show you, how to determine if your computer is running a 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows 7 operating system.

Click Start -> right click Computer -> click Properties
|
|
|

|
|
Your system information window opens.
Next to system type you can see your version of the Operating System.
I have a 64-bit version, so it says 64-bit Operating system, if I had a 32-bit version it would have read 32-bit Operating System.

There is another way to find out your Operating System version.
Click Start and Computer.
|
|
|

|
Click top open the drive your Windows 7 is installed on. It's usually C: drive.
Now you can see the folders on system drive. If you see 2 Program Files folders, Program Files and Program Files (x86), then your computer is running a 64-bit version. In case there's only Program Files folder your computer is running a 32-bit version.
Why 2 Program Files folders in a 64-bit version?
By default the 64-bit Software gets installed in Program Files folder and 32-bit Software gets installed in Program File (x86). ,
