Black and white cut out style
I'm going to show you how to turn your random picture into a cool black and white cut out style image.

1.

|
|
Open a picture and press Ctrl +J to duplicate the layer.
|
|
|
2.

|
|
Press Ctrl + U to lose the colors on the new layer.
|
|
|
3.
|
|
|
Press Ctrl + I to invert the colors.
Choose Subtract for the Blending Mode.
|
|
|

|
|
|
This is how it should look by now.

Now select the middle layer and press Ctrl + J to duplicate the layer.
|
|
|

|
Move the new layer to the top.
Click and drag the layer to the top.
|
|
|

In the menu click Filter, Blur and choose Gaussian Blur...
|
|
|

|
|
|
Set the Radius to 12.0 pixels.
|
|
|

|
|
|
Choose Overlay for a Blending Mode.
|
|
