My current power button settings is set by default to Shut down and I want to change it to Log off so when I press it the computer wont shutdown but it will only log off the current user.

Right click the task bar and choose Properties.

Click the Power button action and choose Log off.
You can of course choose any action you want.
Click OK.

That's all there's to it, my power button action is now set to Log off.
