Save Microsoft Word document as HTML for web
Did you know that you can save any MS Word document as a HTML file and then put it on a webserver as an actual webpage?

Open Microsoft Word 2010 and enter any text you want.

|

|
In the menu click File and choose Save As.
|
|
|

Choose Web page, Filtered (*.htm;*.html) for a Save as type.

|
Enter the Web Page title and click OK.
|
|

|
If you click Tools and choose Web Options...
|
|
|

|
You can choose from a range of settings to optimize the web experience. Click OK and then click Save.

|
If you get such a warning window click OK.
|
|
|

|
Your document is now saved in a "web ready" HTML file and you're now in a Web Layout view. You can edit the document, just save it when done.

|
|
|
Try and open your .html document in your web browser. You can also put it directly to a web site.
You could theoretically create a whole website using MS Office Word, but it's really not recommended, because the Word adds "tons" of unnecessary code and that's never good thing when building a site.
